Paul was appointed EVP, Chief Audit Executive in April 2023 after joining Seacoast in 2017 as SVP, Director of Audit. He has more than 35 years of audit and accounting experience in the financial industry.
In his current role, Paul is responsible for overseeing the audit function, which includes a strategic audit planning process, audit execution, and ongoing risk assessments. Under Paul’s leadership, the function has continued to demonstrate a risk-based focus and evolve its methodology.
Prior to joining Seacoast, Paul worked for Premier Consulting Partners where he was responsible for providing audit and consulting services to banks in New York and Florida. Before joining Premier, Paul served 10 years at Citigroup, where he was based in New York. His roles included SVP of Markets Audit and Chief Audit Executive for Citibank Canada. As SVP of Markets Audit, he led the delivery of audit services for the North America markets region. As Chief Audit Executive for Citibank Canada, he was responsible for audit coverage of all lines of business and support functions. Paul’s auditing experience also included six years total at Coopers & Lybrand and, after the merger, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pace University in New York and his master’s degree in finance from St. John’s University in New York. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors, Miami Florida Chapter.
